BACK TO THE FIFTIES
Elvis, Pat Boone, the 'Shot Heard Around the World,' Poodle skirts,
ducktails, Bobby socks, Cherry Cokes, Root Beer Floats, and more as
we go back to the Fifties . . .
You are invited to help celebrate and recall those halcyon days when
our world was peacefully and gratefully lulled into simple times and
carefree moments.
The occasion: Grand Opening, JD’s Place Café (A 50s Diner)
Where: 220 South Wall Street , downtown Calhoun
When: July 26, 2008, Celebration starts at 10:30 a.m.
What: Prizes for best 50s costume, dancing contest
The celebration will be held in conjunction with Paint the Town Red,
the Harris Arts Center ’s annual Open House, and Back to the 50's
